Charles John Huffam Dickens was born on 7 February 1812 in Landport, Hampshire (England), and he died on 9 June of 1870, in Higham Kent (England). He was 58 years old.
He was a prestigious writer, known for his most notable works: The Pickwick Papers, Oliver Twist, Nicholas Nickleby, A Christmas Carol ,David Copperfield, Bleak House, Little Dorrit, A Table for two cities and Great Expectations.
During his life he had a partner, Ellen Terman, and his wife was Catherine Thomson with whom he had 10 children.
